After beating #22 Michigan State 49-14 AT MSU... our second win over a ranked opponent in 3 weeks, we're ranked in the AP and USA today polls for the first time since 2001. I'm a junior, and during my time here (even with our defensive struggles this year) I have not seen us have a team like we do now. Our offense can play with any team in the NCAA and if our D decides to step up in our remaining games like they did on Saturday, we could make a run for the Big10 title... But we have three hard games left (at home vs. Michigan and Iowa, and on the road at Ohio State)

And to think we were a stop on 4th and 15 away from beating Penn State, and being 6-1 and unbeaten in the Big Ten right now...

While I don't expect us to win out, the thing that matters to me is that now I can say NU was ranked during my time here and we're just one win away from a bowl game this year (which is expected considering we still have a game left vs. Illinois).

Most likely, the winner of the Big 10 will have one loss, which means probably Penn State or OSU (I bet PSU will beat Wisconsin). However, the way this conference has gone this year, it may come down to a few 2 loss teams.

I predict we will beat Michigan next week... and we definitely have a chance against Iowa, but I, by no means, expect a win at Ohio State. We used up all our karma against you with that win last year (which, by the way, I was at, and it was awesome). We'll then beat Illinois in our last game and finish either 8-3 or 7-4, both of which i'd be happy about.

Arrrgh.. they should have lost to wisconsin.. I cant believe the badgers put up 48 points and lost! arrrrgh!

We've beat the Badgers the last three times they've come to Evanston, 3 of the last 4 overall... We were up by 17 with 5 min left... no reason it should have gotten to a 3 point game. Especially after almost beating Penn State the week before you can't claim we should have lost.

yeah but scoring 48 points against any team should assure you the win.. however they put up 51.. ouch! And yeah they seem to always beat the badgers at home, so no big deal.. I actually didn't expect the badgers to have this many wins all season.. So its all good.

I havn't looked at the conference standings so im not sure whos where at the moment.

Penn State and Wisconsin are both 7-1 (4-1 in the Big 10) and tied for first. Next, Ohio State, Northwestern, and Iowa are all tied at 5-2 (3-1 in the Big 10). Purdue and Illinois are the bottom feeders.
