LT is the best back right now.

Saying Emmit sucks just because he was on a good team is silly he was real good.

Barry, however, was better. If he was on the Cowboys they would have changed rules. The Lions sucked so badly back then and Barry single handedly go them into the playoffs some years.

Payton didn't have much help on offense either. Although, he did have a great defense to help him.

The most impressive ever said about Jim Brown was said was ESPN was naming the century's greatest athelete. Somebody said "Jim Brown was arguably the best football player to ever play the game....but, he WAS the best LaCrosse player to ever play La Crosse." To dominate two sports like that is pretty impressive.

But as a Steelers fan, Franco is a legend and Big Fat Bettis has done some amazing (HOF worthy) things for a 270 pound fat man.

I don't know exactly what your thinking on "best" running back? Is it rushing yards?

I found some comparing stats:

Larry Johnson has 1549 rushing yards this season. Keep in mind he's only played 8 games this season. Avg is 5.0

Tomlinson has 1372 rushing yards this season and he has played in all 15 games. Avg is 4.3
