Ok Big Choice...
I have fifty eight bucks, and only one game to buy during this month:
It's either AOE III or CIV IV, both excellent looking PC games at this point. Anyone want to voice their opinions on which I should get?

Rome Total War and the expansion pack. Greatest RTS game ever. But of those 2 I'd go AoE.

Re: Ok Big Choice...
Go for civ four, hands down the better of the two. Found a real disapointment with AOE3.

Re: Ok Big Choice...
Don't bother with AoE III, I bought it and it was a big disapointment. Sure the graphics are better and you can play it online, but you can do that with Rise of Nations too. Get Rome Total War if you don't have it...
Otherwise Civ is okay.
AoE III can be compared to AoE II like MS WinMe can be compared to Win98. Looks different to 98 but didn't change much, just took up a shitload more resources, and caused wierd crashes.
Don't bother if you have less than 512Mb of RAM. I've got a memory tracker that always stays on top regardless of the program running and at one stage it was using 650MB ram system wide, when the only other thing running was xp and the virus checker and a firewall. Virus checker and firewall were using negligible RAM...
