both me and my girlfriend want to have sex. the desire is there. only thing is, we're both scared of her getting pregnant. that's a chance we're not willing to take. last time we were making out we started just going with it, and some stuff happened, but no sex. she told me she wanted to have sex right then, but was afraid b/c she had ovulated and knew she could get pregnant. any advice on how it can be prevented. i don't want to take any chances at all here. i've brought up condoms, and she doesn't seem to go for that idea. see, she was born b/c her dad's condom broke.

huh..... well there are only 2 choices you have really. 2 that i can see any ways.
1) talk and make sure you both know that you don't want to do it.
or
2) use condoms.

thats basicly all there is too it... and if she wont have sex with condoms i wouldn't touch it.... much to great of a chance of getting her preggy (im assuming that she is a vergin which is why i didn't say "dirty!")

but get her on the pill, that will help, and most deffinitly use condoms.

i agree. nothing is 100% so if that's what you're going for then keep your pants on. condoms are the best since they protect against STDs too, but there are LOTS of other options that are just for birth control. the pill and other hormonal options are okay for most people, but think about them seriously before just jumping in. you should both check out a planned parenthood clinic which can get you cheap or free birth control in any method you like.

ok if you really want to prevent it

1) Get on Birth control, wait, I think its one cycle for it to take hold
2) Use condoms, DO NOT double wrap, causes friction and increases the likelihood of breakage
3) if you want to be even more sure, the week immediately after her period is the safest week, and the week in the middle of the cycle is most dangerous.

Unless you want to go really all out and get one of the more esoteric but extremely effective birth control devices (IUDs, Nuvaring... which I just heard about (http://www.nuvaring.com/Consumer/index.asp))

Another thing to look at is search for some updated natural family planning info it has all the ways to indicate if it is prime time or not, I know this is usually associated with christian thought and therefore used without cantraceptives, but is easy to track and when used with things like condoms and/or with the pill or other birth control method (which changes the whole system anyways) is pretty accurate. I know from my wife and I that when we didn't want to get pregnant we didn't using this alone without condoms or bc, but when we did want to get pregnant it we did first time. That said like others have stated absolutely nothing gaurantees you won't get her pregnant, there is always a risk.

try this, first, just do it w/o condom, then put condom a minute or so be4 u're about to shoot

I don't understand??? she wants to have sex and doesn't want to get pregnant but doesn't want to use a condom?? Unless she's on birth control don't do it. expecially if it is your first time, because you prob wont have that good of control over when you bust. I do know that alot of doctors prescribe birth control to girls to help control acne, so just incase she is too timid to ask her mom/doctor, that is an option.

Oh, FYI....You can feel when a condom breaks, so if you are going at it, and all of the sudden you get really sensitive down there, pull out and check.......P.S. always have spares..

that's a great way to get her pregnant, good job. ever hear of precum? there's sperm in it. (sperm gets the womens knocked up) even if you don't think you get real precumy it's still good and possible to get someone pregnant (or an STD) by doing this.

Spermacidical foam, spermicidical lubricant, condom, female condom, the shot, the pill, and good ole fashioned pulling out.

I don't like to advocate this, but I rarely use condoms. STD free and no babies. I went 6 years with one girl who was never on the pill and we rarely used condoms if that helps...

Condoms are pretty safe these days, use extra strength and make sure to leave the tip, and as stated above, there are a lot of birth control methods, I would especially recommend using the cyclical advice as recommended above (natural family planning). I've never broken a condom, and I've done it sans condom w/ a girl on birth control a couple times, never had a baby (or an STD)

same here, cept for the 6 year thing. i didn't read everyone's responses, but would suggest anal also if that is an option. many ladies won't be up for it, but ya never know. don't expect it to be very romantic tho.

Use condom with spermicide. Make sure you put that bad boy on right, and be careful when you take it off. You'll be good.

The only option that is 100% sure of not resulting in pregnancy is abstinence. So, if you can't deal with the x% failure rate of contraceptives, then just don't have sex.
