Torrent Problem
Hi all, well I got a problem.
My problem is I was downloading a torrent but literally with a minute before it was gonna be done it crapped out and won't complete.
Now I am wondering if there is a way to by pass the need to complete the torrent download to view the file which is a movie as most of the file is downloaded and I only lose a few seconds if I watched it as it currently stands now.
The format is AVI if that helps.
Well, if anyone can help me out and show me how to watch the vid without completing the download then I appreciate it.

Re: Torrent Problem
I really doubt it, because for all you know, that last one percent is scattered in ten different places throughout the movie. (BitTorrent downloads it piecewise, so the remaining download could be anywhere)

Re: Torrent Problem
Well, that's not good.
Though even if its scattered as you say it still be a few seconds so I wouldn't mind the loss unless it being scattered makes it impossible to play without completing the download in which case I guess I can't get the vid.

Re: Torrent Problem
There is... but I have forgotten how to do it sorry (well in all honesty I've forgotten the name of the program that can do it)
I remember watching all of the pieces that I had - whilst it would just be a black screen for the pieces that I didnt have. So there is a program out there to do it - I've just forgotten what its called.
The alternative - and this sometimes works - is that programs like BitLord - they try to find the same torrent on different trackers - This allows the 1 torrent to have multiple trackers - so if one goes down - then you can keep on keeping on.
