looking through the first page of this forum, it seems a lot of guys are waiting until their already in trouble to ask what they can do to help the situation. how about sharing some things that have been done by/for you that swept your girl off her feet, just to let her know how perfect she is.

i'm trying to get with a girl i work with, we hang out a lot and have talked lightly about dating but "agree its a bad idea" and i'd like to try changing her mind, but don't know how...any suggestions would be great

depends, if you need to start from ground zero, it depends on the girl pretty much 100%.

If ur trying to go from "close" to dating, my key has always been to wait for a really key moment and then spring the trap in some sort of cute way.

Ex. one of my ex-es had this thing about making a wish when all the numbers on the clock were the same, so one time she was like "ooo make a wish" I was like "I wish you would go out with me" It was pretty smooth if u were there, it sounds cheesy but it works.

It all depends on figuring out one of her quirks or her little "things" she does, and then building it up and playing off something that SHE thinks will be cute.

never met a girl where a nice bouquet of flowers (not necessarily roses) didn't work on. They'll either melt her heart or at least let her know you're thinking about her

Nothing says your special like having her make you a sandwich. And I'm serious, my girlfriend made me a sandwich before we went out. If she's not the type to fix you sandwiches you don't want her around anyway. You'll be able to tell from the kind of sandwich whether she's interested or not. Peanut Butter and Jelly? It's not happening. Turkey on a croissant with mayo, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado? You might as well start unzipping.

If she's in any way connected to greek life and sororities be the model of chivalry and masculinity, go all out with the opening doors, driving, paying for dinner route.

well not sure what the whole deal with sorority girl do all the chivalry thing is.... (not sure if that made sense) but i do all that stuff any ways. its not being chivalris, its just being a gentalmen. (chivalry went the way of the dodo bird once knights weren't needed, not its called being nice/a gentelman what have you). but i will hopefully be in the same situation as you in a short while, well hanging out with a girl i might want to date, and thats what i will be doing. just being as nice as i can, having lil surprises for her all set up and stuff.
ex: next time you guys hang out have her come over, saying you will go out to a movie or something, but in actuality have a nice dinner ready when she gets over there, and watch a movie at your place.

If you two are friends, then you should know what she likes. I agree with what has been said with being a gentlemen. You know her favorites. I suggest you hang out and do some of the things she does and offer to pay. Start being more concerned about her and her life. Be more than a friend.
