Help, split between two people
Ok so for some time now i've liked this girl at school, and im thinking about asking her out to a dance, but if she turns me down, i'd really hate to feel weird when i see her around, u know how it is, and i like saying hi whenever we see each other, but then theres this new girl now that is starting to tempt me, she's obviously flirting with me, and i'd like to see what that turns out to, but heres the dilemma
one, ask the girl that i've liked for a while now out to the dance, and risk feeling weird when i see her if she turns me down, or dont do anything, and wait to if the new girl is actually serious about me... gahh i hate being split
any help or input would be great =D

Are you in high school? If so, it's high school so it doesn't really matter, just go for the one you have the best shot with. Plus are you 18 yet?

Yeah, um, if you are under age, stay out of the adult sections or you will get banned.
To answer your question, go with the one you have known for a while. If she turns you down, its no biggie, it will happen more often than not, learn to live with it. Then ask the other one that has been teasing you, its called playing the field. When you go fishing, you don't just throw your hook in one location and leave it there, you gotta keep trolling.

agreed with Juan.
Its perfectly legit to go after the one you've been with for a while and if that doesnt work switch over. Nobody will hold that against you plus if the two dont really know each other it really doesnt matter

Re: Help, split between two people
I know at my high school it was about being exclusive, you liked a girl or guy you went out with them, only them. There was no real "courtship" time or dating process, you were only theirs. This is crap, you cant just pick one person and be stuck with them. You have to get out there, which I can see you have and keep your options open. I would try out which ever girl you think you have the better chance with first and if it dosent work out onto the next. Of course dont make this obvious, no one likes to be second string

Re: Help, split between two people
hmm. I dated about 9 or so girls in my HS. Only advice I can give you is to stop whining and go out and do something.
Nothing is worse that saying "I can't decide, please help, whine whine whine". With an attitude like that things WILL be odd if she turns you down.
Get some self-confidence and just walk up to the girl and ask her if she'd like to go with you. If she says yes then great, if she says no then no sweat, it can happen. Just say "ok np, I would have really enjoyed going to the ball/dance/prom (whatever) with you." and then just say goodbye and walk off. People get turned down all the time, but that doesn't mean it has to be odd. Just be sure of yourself and be prepared for her to say no.
At least that way it'll open up a chance for girl#2. And then if you see girl#1 just smile or wave and say hi whenever you see her like she's one of your friends.

Its a nice innocent dance - more often then not she will go as a friend - so worst case she goes with you - just dont force anything onto her.
