Still have a few of their LPs around somewhere. Caress of steel, A farewell to kings, Hemispheres, Signals and Exit stage left. Been a while since i listened to em though.
Caress of steel rocked.

I dont like rush much. Although they are one of the "FEW" tolerable "classic rock" bands out there.

Re: Any Rush fans around?

You are talking to a rush megafan here, and i credit my father for that. He's rush mad! He bought everything they released on vinyl, then again on Cassette, and is working on the cd's now. Saw them at Sarstock in toronto, and again on the 30th tour. Neil and Geddy are gods of their respective instruments, and alex is by far one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. My fav songs are

La Villa Strangiato
Spirit of Radio
The entire Presto Album
Limelight
Red Barchetta
Tom Sawyer
and many more

Very cool! I am assuming you were at the R30 show at the Molson Ampitheatre...I was there and WHAT A SHOW. I also saw them at the ACC where they filmed footage for The Trailer Park Boys with Alex appearing on an episode...4th row from the stage!

I must have heard Tom Sawyer a million times in the PI, back int he 80's.
The Filipino bands did a decent job, as long as we where drunk!

Re: Any Rush fans around?

I am a too young to be a real fan, but I listened to Tom Sawyer like a million times when I was a wee lad. It was my older brother's favorite song for like a week and I got addicted. I still love to hear that song.

Re: Any Rush fans around?

Trust me there is WAY more to Rush than Tom Sawyer.....WAY more..expand your horizon and explore other songs by them. For example listen to rest of album Tom Sawyer is from..called Moving Pictures.

I go to a rush forum that has so many younger fans...some as young as 14 years old. Age doesn't matter when it comes to good music

Re: Any Rush fans around?

I saw Rush Outside of Boston back in 97' In a place called Great Woods. (now the tweeter something or other.)
These guys put on a awesome show. tight as hell!
My favorite albums are 2112, Moving Pictures, Signals, Permanent waves, Counterparts, The first one, And Roll the bones.

Chonicles is definetly a good starter album. For those who want to get into Rush but have no idea where to start with all the albums they have out.

Re: Any Rush fans around?

I'm pumped for the new album coming out May 1st!!! It's called Snakes and Arrows and the first single will be out next week or so..It's called Far Cry. There is a small clip of it on Rush.com and it sounds like good old classic Rush!

Also major tour this summer! hope to meet fellow Rush fans out there!

Rush On!
