To accept the theory of evolution as 100% fact is a leap of faith. No one has been able to actually show a definite evolution from one species to another.
The leap of faith for science is even greater when the subject of the first life showing up on Earth is focused on. As soon as scientist can demonstrate in a controlled experiment spontaneous life springing up out of a chemical mixture, then you can begin to have evidence contrary to Creation. Until then, unless evolutionary theorists are even more closed minded than religious conservatives, they must consider the possibility of influence from outside the realm of science which they understand.

Re: Evolution and Creation

I believe in Evolution, but the current theory just doesn't cut it.

While mutations may be good for influenza, the fruit fly study shows that mutations may not be beneficial for higher order creatures.

Even so, micro-evolution does not lend credibility to macro-evolution. There are still significant hurdles to overcome.

laboratory - induced mutations are not naturally ocurring mutations.

im not saying that all natural mutations may be helpful, but there is a huge different between a scientist causing such mutations and nature taking its course
