Problems With My New DVD Burner

click on one of our sponsors! OR REMOVE ADS
hey i just bought a new memorex 16x dvd burner, and i went to put it into my computer, i took out my old cd-burner, and replaced it with the dvd burner, i used the new cable that came with it, and placed the old one aside. When i turned on my computer the dvd drive was the only one that showed up, and i used dvd decrypter to copy Sin City to my computer...I then restarted because I noticed my cd-rom drive wasnt working, then when it was restarted, neither the dvd drive or cd-rom drive showed up. I don't know what i did wrong i triple-checked the connections and everything is in its place, could anyone help me with this?? all help GREATLY appreciatedd

Make sure that both drives have their jumper pins set to "cable select".

Or beside the Master/Slave thing (which is the best you can do) unplug it again and start it. If still nothing works as usual, you have to select the proper options in your BIOS.

But think the master/lave thing was already enough, eh? ...

Re: Problems With My New DVD Burner

Thats what i reckon as well, you should check your master/slave setting.
It should be in the manual.
