What is the age of consent where you live? In the UK it is 16. Do you think 16 is too young?

Coming from the UK myself. I don't think it's young today considering people have sex at an earlier age. If this topic was being disscussed 10 years ago however I would say yes! Times have changed and so views have changed.

Some are even marked off as illegal.

It's 16 in the State of VA. Some states are 18, most are 16. If I remember correctly, South Carolina and West Virginia is 14.

I know according to the UCMJ (Military Law), anyone you have sex with has to be 18+, regardless of state law.

17 in NY, although as long as it's more than 13, it just requires less than four year difference.

Back up at college I knew a guy who was 19 and his girlfriend was a whopping 15. Evidently he met her while in Highschool and started dating her while he was 18 and she was 14, now tell me if that doesn't just sound a bit inapporiate, also he was 18 at the start of senior year it was a full 4 years difference. I remember when everyone was saying congrats to him that his girlfriend just turned 15 (as a way of teasing him since she was so much younger)

16. i always thought it was 18. im 23 does that mean its legal to have sex with a 16 year orld or would i have to be like within 4 years or something. im not sure how that whole deal works. there was a 18 year old guy at school dating a 16 year old. when they broke up her parents tried to press statch charges against him. i dunno the outcome of it tho.

so would that automatically mean at the age of 18 is when its legal to have sex with someone at any age. it doesnt specifically say
