got an offer
a buddy of mine i used to work with has an 87 monte carlo ss t-tops and he offered me a straight up trade for my trans am in the condition its in now. I would love to do that but I still owe $5100 on the T/A.
so what do yall think, would it be worth it to take him up on that offer and have a car that runs? i'm thinking so, because what if i do more shit to the motor in a vain attempt to fix it and it still doesnt run right. That shit's really frustrating.
have a car that runs and pay $260 a month, or struggle with fixing the trans am which has been dead for 2 years...

well... i voted no before i read ur post.... if he's going to pay off the $5100 that you owe on the trans am then i'd trade... given that his car is in decent working order... ur call

Keep the t/a but get your ass out there and fix it or take it to a machine shop.
The monte carlo prbably isnt worth nearly 5 G's

I say forget both of those cars and buy a VW GTi with the 1.8T and upgrade the stock turbo to a stage 3 turbo. :bigthumb:

the monte only has a 305 you can but a 350 in it but then your in the same boat. it would need alot of money to get it as fast as the ta. the only advantag the monta would have is it is a full frame car and not a unbody like the ta.
