Met a girl a few weeks ago, said I was cute...yada yada, got her number. She is going to my college so i found her on facebook and i told her I would call her tonight.

So I am not calling her cause I don't want to make it look like I like her. But I said I would call her. am i doing the right thing and playing hard to get?

theres a huge difference in having a girl know you like her and looking desperate. confidence is key. if you like her call her. your confidence will show you arent desperate. playing hard to get is for women.

The biggest mistake you can make is play stupid fuckin' high school games. Dude, just tell her straight up if you like her. That's the name of the game, right? You may have baited your hook, but you still have to cast the fucker out in the water if you want to catch a fish. Don't play any games and just be honest.

I'd agree w/ Juan, and just add one thing.

There's a big difference between "playing hard to get" and showing that you're your own man. If you says you're gonna call, call. But don't go calling her every day, and don't come off as a needy wuss. As kulots said, hang up before it gets awkward.

I think you are a little confused about 'hard to get'. Hard to get is not saying you will call and not calling, that is being a jerk. As a guy you have to chase her, it's just the way our biology goes. The playing hard to get part is that you have to have enough confidence to show her that you will chase her, but you don't really care if you catch her, because you always have more options. That is the key.
