Online Radio Station for my webpage
So...basically, I want the best way to upload my own music and broadcast it through a link on my webpage and have it stream on a loop. ie Make a button that says listen to our online radio station while you browse our website, they click and they can listen to a decent play list that I can change every day or so.
I been looking online and found a few services that do just that for a few bucks a month. But I want to know if some of you all have done this and how you went about it. I don't get more than a few people online at the same time.

Re: Online Radio Station for my webpage
PM me, I might have some answers. Depends what your capabilities on your site are, ie is it on a server you can install shit on, or what.

Werd, I saw that too while searching, but I don't think my connection is fast enough to stream that nor do I want people to have to have win amp to do it or have it be too complicated where they have to dl a plug in etc. I want them to click, and hear it stream.
Thanks tho.

Re: Online Radio Station for my webpage
It will work on players other than winamp. MusicMatch, Quicktime, realPlayer. Sometiems Mediaplayer. When I ran mine, I ran at the lowest setting, 22khz and with my current connection SBC DSK 3000dl 512/1500ul I could sustain 32 concurrent users, although I never had more than 10. Unless you're still on dialup, it should be fine for a few users at a time. Quick free alternative.

I'll look into that, thanks! I'm on SBC DSL...shouldn't get more than `10 users at the same time anyway.

Re: Online Radio Station for my webpage
jetcast works good, I host my radio station on my website... I can't put a link on here though because I have ad's as well as I sorta run a business from it as well. I do web design on the side.

Re: Online Radio Station for my webpage
No need to use live 365. You can upload the MP3's directly to your website and create a windows media object on the page that will play a playlist that feeds them straight to the client browsing the site. A good example is on my website www.skynet-mk2.com on the radio page. I made a Mp3 that plays before it re-routes to the music I broadcast from the house.

Re: Online Radio Station for my webpage
Thanks skyNet. I got word that a radio station in my hometown might just do it themselves so they'll let me link to them...free ad for me, free ad for them. Works well.
