Have MPEG4s, want DVDs!

I have Firefly (canceled SciFi series) downloaded as MPEG4s right now. The problem is, my family wants to watch them on the TV, and their DVD player doesn't support MPEG4. Any suggestions for free (or cracked) programs that will convert MPEG4 to MPEG2 (for burning to DVD) or will burn MPEG4 as MPEG2 to DVD?

Help would be much appreciated, especially in a timely fashion!

I personally use Adobe Encore DVD to arthur my DVDs, but don't even think about asking me to ISO and upload a 3GB DVD.
