Can't open a .avi file...

Ok, I'm a dope, I'll readily admit it.

I've got Windows Media (I think its 9) player and Real Player...but these types of files won't open. Its all on Windows XP...any help?

When processing an AVI file, Realplayer needs a specific dll. called vidplin.dll You can also use VirtualDub to convert the AVI to Divx. You can also check out Codec Zone ( google it ), They have a list of resources which can sort a lot of these problems out.
