Re: Ptsd
Anyone also dealing with DU related illnesses? I know a lot of vets from Iraq that are dealing with it (vomiting, chronic diarrhea, sweats, etc..)

Re: Ptsd
no DU here, just having to deal with the rage issues. It's fun to get pissed off to the point of blunt force trauma to anyone or anything over spilled milk, literally.

Re: Ptsd
What's DU? I'm guessing that it involves coming back from the front lines, only to be met with a bunch of whiny pussies who have no idea what you've seen and done. Am I close?
I will buy a beer for any serviceman or woman who I meet up with down in the keys - what's all this about?

Re: Ptsd
<---vet...
I've had small troubles, the most of it was not sleeping for a week or two at a time. I've had two panic attacks since I got home last November, but they were both shortly after I got home. I've had some weird ass dreams, but they're pretty random. My best friend got out with 40% disability for PTSD, it kinda screwed him up. One of my real good friends got sent to the psych ward for wigging out one night and shooting his house up. The cops were wanting to throw him in jail for it, but luckily one of the cops is our Readiness NCO, so he took care of it and called the VA.
I had a real bad drug and alcohol problem after I got home too, but I kicked all that myself. I've been clean for right at a year now, I only drink seldomly anymore. I was never exposed to DU though, luckily. At least not that I know of. We used to roam around the boneyard on base when we had some downtime, because we thought it was pretty cool seeing all those old blown up tanks.
