Bumps on my you know what
I AM A GUY, NOT A CHICK, READ ON AND YOU'LL UNDERSTAND.
First of all I'll admit I'm posting this through a lurker account, but the only purpose I use this account for is sexual advice, help, etc without having to ask. Well I've done a search and couln't find anything completely similar to this:
Ever since around the time I hit puberty I've had these little bumps on my dick. They aren't red, they don't go on and off, and they don't break or hurt or anything like that. They seem to just be these little bumps. I've done a search on herpes symptoms and that says that herpes includes outbreaks and fevers during outbreaks so I'm pretty sure I don't have herpes. If you have any clue as to what has been going on for the past several years please tell me.
PS: Please tell me I don't have an STD

Re: Bumps on my you know what
That's what doctors are for. I know it's potentially very embarrassing, but cmon, it's your health, why take chances?

Re: Bumps on my you know what
If they've been there from the giddy up, I wouldn't worry about them. Just make sure they dont grow, change color, or start hurting.

Re: Bumps on my you know what
I suggest going to see a doctor, but they could be hair follicles. Definately go see a doctor though.

Re: Bumps on my you know what
Why are most people embarrassed of the doctor when if they ignore something, it might get MUCH worse and/or embarrassing?

Re: Bumps on my you know what
let me ask you 2 questions:
1, are they over the whole area or just the lower half
2, are they red/itchy?
if they are the lower half and just skin colored, they are definitely hair follicles and nothing to worry about.

Re: Bumps on my you know what
They aren't red or itchy. They don't feel any different from the rest of my penis.
What do you mean by "bottom half"? Do you mean the "cylinder" half closest to the pubic hair or do you mean the bottom half as in the lower "semi-sphere". Because they are scattered variously among the lower semisphere.

Re: Bumps on my you know what
We cant say you dont have an STD, only a Dr can tell you that after tests and examination. Seems I'm answering a lot of these questions lately....anyway, I'll start by saying see the Dr and I'll give some possibilities that best fit your description:
Fordyce Disease: (not to be confused with fox-fordyce disease)
This is not an STD. Other than the bumps that this condition causes on genitals or other mucas membranes (lips, mouth..) it is an asymptomatic disease, meaning no symptoms...it has no effect on your health so you can have it and be totally healthy. You can search for fordyce spots, fordyce granules, John Fordyce (discovered the disease) for more information on it but the interweb is information, it cannot diagnose you, dont forget that.
HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) HPV is the virus that causes condyloma (aka genital warts). It is estimated 20-40% of the sexually active population has one of the 80 different types of condyloma. Typically this virus is spread by sexual contact but there are cases (although rare) that it is spread by other means. For example, used towels, boxers or whatever that may have come in contact with fluids that contained the virus. It is a rare occurance though.
Go show the Dr your peppy, he'll know best if there is cause for alarm or if its nothing to worry about, thats what he is there for.

Yeah. I got them and was worried as well but they are just normal for that area of skin. Don't get too worked up man.

Re: Bumps on my you know what
Thanks everyone for your help. I was pretty sure it was hair follicles after so many people replied but I did go to the doctor (embarrased of course) and it was, go figure, hair follicles.
