Re: Your favorite musician
There's so many great musicians out there.
And it's all a matter of opinion.
Right now I would say my favorite musician would be Mikael Akerfeldt From Opeth.
he writes songs with so many different styles. One song could( which the average length is 7 minutes) can have all the elements of death metal, Power metal, folk music, and classical music in it. he growls and also has a very pleasent singing voice as well.
Second I am really into Alexi Lahio from Children of Bodom as a modern guitar icon. He shreds like thrash metal.
And thrid Justin Broadrick from Godflesh...That guy has been a major influance on Industrial, Electronica, And techno..

Re: Your favorite musician
Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater. Since he joined them, you can really tell they are bringing out the crazy keyboard solos and stuff. He is SO good at what he does, I've been playing piano for years and it makes me want to jump off a roof when I listen to that stuff.

Re: Your favorite musician
#1 - White Zombie
SRV was awesome
Satriani too
I also like Jeff Tate and Queensrych - I was in Seattle for Tate's solo debut, it was great, but too mellow.
DT is an incredible band, saw then a few years ago when they played together.
AC/DC and Zep are also some of my faves

Re: Your favorite musician
Ohh boy the list could be long, :happycow: but on top would be Iron Maiden or maybe Joe Satriani.
