what happened at the end??? why did the alien machines finally start going crazy???... the birds??

The aliens got sick.

The commentary at the end said something about mankind dealing with and living with the bacteria/viruses of our planet enables us to live in such a harsh enviorment.

This was foreshadowed at the begenning with the shot of the amoebas(sp) up close and personal, and was advanced when the red vines on the statue had died and broke off in Cruz's hand.

The wooble was the aliens getting sick as they drove.

oh man, this movie sucked so bad. it was as bad as the day after tomorrow. so many plot holes and such. how could spielberg and cruise go so wrong

She: "It was a great movie.. I liked it."
He: "It was too intense." ...wimp

thought it was great, but the ending came very abruptly sort of how it was in the original... so all in all, i liked it alot

Excellent flick, but the end seemed a little anti-climactic. Too quick.

i thought it was a pretty good movie...there were many plot holes, etc. but every movie has them soo whatever..good flick

Etic Perspective

I thought it was a great movie. I admit that the end was a little too Deus ex Machina for me, but the more I think about the more it makes sense. Spielburg is a genius for saving mankind with a virus. The more I think about the movie the more I like it. I think that it is great that spielburg can make a movie for himself and not have to worry about anyone criticizing it to death.
