Re: firefox feedback agent

I think it's actually an effect, not a cause... if Firefox crashes, its last dying act is to open the feedback agent, similar to the XP post-crash thingy for MS.

Re: firefox feedback agent

^^^Correct
The feedback agent is so "you" can give Mozilla a report as to why you're FF/TB/Mozilla is crashing. Unlike M$ though, I believe that Mozilla is reading them.

However if you're crashing often, then the problem might be on your end.
Suggestion:
1. Get Ad-Aware, Spybot and HijackThis. Get them downloaded and installed, run the first to only to get them updated..DO NOT do a scan yet. Also get an anti-virus if you don't already have one.
2. Restart and boot into Safe Mode
3. Run your anti-virus, then Ad-Aware, then Spybot. And fix any problems each finds
4. Run HijackThis and save the log (it gets saved as a text file).
5. Run ScanDisk and DiskDefrag
6. Return here to your topic and copy&paste the contents of the log file. I'll review your HJT log and try to see if I can see any other problems you should be aware of.

You might have some ad/spyware or even a virus running that causing your system to act up which can cause some programs to crash for odd reasons.

Re: firefox feedback agent

There are also just some pages that cause FF to crash... especially the shadier variety.
