all time favorite movies.
Ill start..
and just to make sure I get this out there 1st.. the ORIGINAL Star Wars trilogy will always rock.
okay.. lets go back in time a bit. of Course Lord of the Rings friggin rocks..
but the stuff I dont see anymore.. like.
The Warriors. circa 1979. just a kick ass gang movie. The baseball furries looked so kick ass., pfft.
Bad Boys. circa 1983 . Im not talkin bout the nigga cop fest fucking movie,. Im talking bad ass Sean Pean and Easi Morales - 3 soda pop cans in a pillow case. Thats a bad ass movie.
Heavy Metal circa 1981. 1st cartoon boobies I ever saw. nough said.
Hangin's too good for him!! Burnin's too good for him!! He should be torn into little bitsy pieces and buried alive!!!
The Breakfast Club circa 1985 This came out while I was in high school. a freshman at that,. so it was perfect timing. a true classic and I was gald to see them honor the movie even if it was only MTV.. I will always love this movie.
True Romance circa 1993. Sounds like a chick flick but I assure you. its not. written by Quentin Tarantino this movie is all about violence with some of the best actors out there. another must have to any worthy DVD collection.
Legend circa 1985. yeah. so its got Tom Cruise in it. Still by far one of the best fanasty movies out there, and Tim Curry plays the devil very well.
Never ending story circa 1984 okay..... this one could be a bit of a stretch as far a true favorites go.. but seriously. I still to this day cant watch when Atreyu loses his horse.. *sniff*
The Cook the Thief His Wife & Her Lover circa 1989 - hmm.. where to begin. this isnt a sit down eat dinner and watch a movie kinda movie. this is get stoned and get ready for a trippy, but visually stunning movie. hardcore irony all through-out and one of the coolest flicks Ive ever seen. Its not in my DVD collection yet. but it soon will be.
Thats all I can think of right now.. post your own and thoughts why. I have plenty more.

Re: all time favorite movies.
Yep, I could add Tombstone to my favs as well, I own the DVD. Val Kilmer ( to me ) played his best role to date as Doc Holiday. That movie rocks.. however... wyatt erp ( the movie ) sucked balls.
Young Guns is also a fav. I need to add both to my collection. I still call people CHA-VEZ!
Lost boys. classic. My wife loves that movie. ( Corey Haim fan ) It was on yesterday in fact, and my kid was getting into it. Great friggin soundtrack.
cool cool

Re: all time favorite movies.
clerks was an awesome movie. very different from what I was used to. I would put that in my top ten as well.. but I wasnt really awed by the rest of the flicks he put out. mall rats and chasing amy to me just werent up to par with clerks..
one flew over the cuckoos nest is a complete classic. I need to add that to my dvd collection.
never heard of kids.. Ill have to check it out.
another one I would like to add. Saving Private Ryan. the opening action squence alone makes it worthy of a sppot in my dvd collection.
the Holy Grail from Monty Python is another fav. can I have 30 movies in the top ten?
I make the rules. I say yes!
