Game Burning Question

click on one of our sponsors! OR REMOVE ADS
So I dl'd a game off a torrent site [Act Of War] and when all the files were extracted the game is an ISO and is 5.12GB. How the hell am I supposed to burn that big ass thing? I have a DVD burner but the discs don't handle that big of a file. Is there a proggy that will shrink a game to fit onto a DVD-R kind of like how DVD Shrink does with movie DVD's? I had thought about just converting it to a BIN file and install it through CDRWin and then get the no cd patch but will save that as a last resort. I don't have the space needed to convert and all that right now. TIA for any help:~)

Re: Game Burning Question

DaemonTools cna mount the ISO http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/portal.php
But you're not going to be able to burn it like normal

To burn it you're DVD burner would need to support DualLayer and you would need a DVD-/+R DL disc. The burners are cheap, around $50 at newegg.com. However the disc aren't at around $13 for a pack of 3 disc, doesn't sound like much but that's about $4.30 each...this is also based on newegg.com prices.

Re: Game Burning Question

I also use Alcohol 120% as my image reader/burner, CD copier and yeah... everything that NERO does for CD's/DVD's and better. I have been using this program for about a year now(after binning my OEM Nero burning ROM 6) and found it virtually hassle free and very stable on an otherwise not so stable machine(Damn SIS650 chipset). It has CD protection emulation which allows you to keep your nice scratch free original CD's in mint condition and out of your scratch the CD on the way out on purpose drive... (Even when they have that Physical Media Security which really screws with running image files instead of the real thing, it'll emulate that too).
That and it supports oodles of image drives and a very simple drag and drop mounting interface... all in all... wicked...
