I'm new at this stuff...

Ok so i ripped some music videos off of the TV onto a DVD burner..then i put em on my computer...the problem is that now they are VOB files...I need to convert them to Mpeg or Avi or any damn thing but VOB files..my windows encoder wont recognize them to do this so i need some help...

SOMEONE HELP ME!!

Select the format From -> To that you want and you should see a few guides with details on how to do it, plus pics and a list with links to the tools used most are free tools but sometimes not

vob files are mpeg2 files
simply rename 'vob' to 'mpg'

lol thats one of the first things i tried...say the file is 170MB..when i rename it, its still 170MB and then i can convert it right? no..when i convert it, it only converts for 30 sec and stops... i'm still fooling around with some of the other tools trying to get it right...why does technology have to be so difficult?
