Here is the deal with most poker sites and freerolls (what is a freeroll? see
here), the newer the site the better the freeroll frequency and payouts. They do this to drive up traffic, once a site gets big and has self-sustaining traffic they tend to start cutting back on the number and payouts of freerolls...
Olympic Sportsbook's new poker room,
Poker World is basically giving away free money right now to increase players in its very low trafficked real money rooms. They have new player freerolls that pay the top 15 spots... in all 6 i was entered in the most entrants was 30 ppl.. with most having between 15 - 18 ppl. Also they have $750 doled out in two daily freerolls with entrants around 120 when i first joined and up around 250 ppl per freeroll now. Its also cool that u can do a direct transfer of ur poker winnings into the sportsbook with no rollover requirement.
World Poker Exchange is more of the same... low traffic, nice payouts and direct transfers to the sportsbook side of the house.
For the highest paying freerolls you have the
Prima Network group of sites, they just up'd their 11 AM freeroll payout from $100 dollars to $1500 and their 2PM freeroll from $500 to $2500. The only problem with these is you will have upwards of 3,000 ppl in each freeroll while at the other sites you have between 200 to 500 ppl.
Oh yeah... and dont forget
JetSet Poker if u love freerolls. Despite recently cutting all prize pools in half, they still have more freerolls with decent payouts and strong promotions then anyone.... max entrants is 500 with around 16 freerolls a day.
Lastly if u want free $20 to play with, sign-up at
Pacific Poker ... dont play ur account for a week and u should get an email saying there is a free 20 bucks in ur account with no deposit required. Not a freeroll but free money nonetheless.
