Was this year's new rule changes a positive? How did the rule changes make the race better or worse than years prior?

Mainly the no eliminations. I think it went great, even though the open went only 500 yards before the caution.

It seems as if the drivers themselves decided that they should eliminate each other with some pretty reckless driving at times
