What did everyone think about it.

I say great movie. Long, but never slow, flow was great, and I don't think you could have asked for better casting.

i didnt think tom cruise would work with this type of movie but it really surprised me how good the movie is.

Ever seen Spy Game?? The Last Boyscout?? Enemy Of The State?? True Romance??

Top Gun and Days Of Thunder are just way different in stlye compared to The Last Samuri.Top Gun and Days Of Thunder are all great action cheesy big balls movies were as The Last Samuri is a great beautiful amazing action epic.

Only thing that was kinda corney was that: you have a whole squad sitting on a ridge with numerous gattling guns which open fire on a charging band of warriors....the only guy that never gets fully hit is the only guy in the bright red armor.....hmmmmm

spy game - saw it, dont remember much about it
boyscout - 2nd worst Bruce Willis movie. (Last Man Sanding was the worst)
enemy - now your talking. one of my favorites
romance - if i saw it, i dont remember it

like i said, they are fun movies to watch. Samuri was, overall, a superior movie.

The Last Boyscout is a great movie,Last Man Standing isn't a good movie but there are worse Bruce Willis movies.

As for Spy Game and True Romance, if you'd seen them you'd remember them.
True Romance/Tony Scott/Tarantino = Favourite movie of all time :rock:
