Computer support technician. Pays OK. One funny problem I came across:
Woman called to say her computer wouldn't turn on. I did the usual stuff over the phone. (Is your monitor on? Did you plug it in?) Went out to her desk and checked her power cords. She had the computer plugged into a power strip and the power strip plugged into itself!

Business owner. Ad agency/brand marketing firm.

My partner and I broke away from a big ad agency in 1996 at the request of our first client. Now when we work long hours, we keep the $$$$$! I'm a writer/producer by trade.

Money: For the record, the money is great, could be fantastic with a couple more larger clients.

Downside: long hours, intense stress--this is the most cut-throat biz outside of acting!

I work on campus at Western Michigan University at their computer store. I sell computers and software to the students and faculty members educationally. It pays good for a on campus job, but really that's not that great. Hours are very flexible though, so it works well since I'm still taking classes.
