it depends on where you buy them
circuit city usually has lower prices that stores in malls, etc

If its a new CD Best Buy carries it for 9.99 for the first week, even though the sticker price will be the regular price. It's just easier for Best Buy to tag them once. I just bought a double CD during the first week, and only paid 11.49 there.

yeah, I've noticed even new releases are getting cheaper and cheaper which is good, but will never get as popular as it once was,since everyone has mp3 players now mp3s or other file formatted music will rule

i don't mind CD"s. i'm an audiophile so i either download FLAC/high quality ripped mp3 files (LAME -aps or higher) and burn them or buy original copies of the cd's at the store.
