Icon05 Question Ali or Tyson?

For those of you that watched them in their primes, who do you think would have won in a head to head bout- Ali or Iron Mike? I really don't remember to much of Ali, but when Tyson was champ he had good defense and used the body punch well. That would take the life out of his opponent and then he would really unleash the guns.

Ali, on toughness alone. The man fought what, 8 rounds once with a broken jaw? Craziness!! Besides that, aside from Sugar Ray Leonard, he was probably the greatest cerebral fighter of all time. Very wise in the ring, and quicker than shit...simply put...The Greatest!!

Yeah Ali easily. ESPN showed some of his heavyweight fights from back in his glory days and damn, Ali OWNED everyone. He'd just toy with them in the ring and then just destroy them. Being called the greatest is an understatement.

I would say Ali was a better fighter overall. But Tyson's punch was deadly in his prime.

you can't compare the two, boxing has evolved so much and the training and techniques are much better when tyson was around then back when Ali fought. If you really wanted to put them head to head, tyson would destroy Ali, but Ali was the greatest boxer of his time, no doubt.

I don't know much about boxing but Ali had so much more honour. He was a true champion. Mike tyson is a physopath. That being said Mike tysen is a bulldozer. If he didn't get disqualified it would be a good fight. However, my opinion is Mike Tysen belongs behind bars not in the ring.
