I used winamp forever like everyone else, but I downloaded iTunes recently and I really like it. Kind of depends on how good the ID3 tags are on all of your .mp3s...if iTunes does a good job of organizing stuff for you, and playlists are really easy to make. I'd say give it a try, you can always get rid of it if you don't like it.

I also use Winamp right now.. Think its pretty good, but i'm open for other suggestions..!

itunes is great for just buying music cheap. only like one song of a cd? that's fine. i don't like their proprietary music format - however, there's a way around that so i can extract the wav and do what i want at that point.

but anyway, very easy to use and quite addictive dare i say!

iTunes has the some of the worst sound and EQing of any music program. Try playing music through a stereo with it. You'll want to tear your ears off. Otherwise it's pretty stable and handy, unlike winamp. But if you want your music to sound decent, steer clear.

I used Winamp for a while, then iTunes, and they're both fine, but I eventually settled with Windows Media Player. It sucks a little, but it tends to be reliable, and less of a resource hog than iTunes.

I find it nice when I want to search for a song and get a quick preview. They're giving away a free song every week now. I haven't liked any of the them, but free is free.

iTunes works great, especially if you have an iPod too. if you are on a local network it is really easy to listen to everyone elses music collection/playlists

Itunes is awesome...I use it on my Mac, but i can't run it on my old Gateway. it's great...very functional and easy to use. you should give it a shot and see how you like it...can't hurt because it's free!
