The deal is all but done. Read the story below. Kurt Warner is all but cooked here in the STL. It's a sad thing to happen to such a good guy. But sports is a business. And the NFL is the biggest biz on the block.
Kurt's 0-8 as a starter since the Rams lost to the Pats in the Super Bowl. And his Quarterback Rating since that time equals that of his predecessor, Tony Banks--ugh!
So if Kurt lands in your town, I hope he does well. He deserves to be back on top. Personally, I think #13 might look good in a Bears uniform. But in all honesty, Kurt's a better field general on carpet in a Dome. Hello, Detroit? Minnesota?

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Two-time NFL MVP Kurt Warner expects to be released by the St. Louis Rams after June 1, his agent said Tuesday.
Mark Bartelstein said Rams coach Mike Martz informed Warner on Monday of the team's decision. The Rams gave the quarterback permission to contact other teams, the agent added.
"There will be a lot of interest," Bartelstein said. "This guy is the highest-rated quarterback in the history of the league."
Warner helped the Rams win the 2000 Super Bowl title. He also led the team to the 2002 NFL championship game, where it lost to New England.
But the past two seasons, he has been hampered by injuries and relegated to a reserve role. Martz installed Marc Bulger as the starter a week after last season's opening game against the New York Giants, in which Warner fumbled six times.
His possible departure was first reported by the New York Daily News and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Bartelstein said Warner's only hope of staying with the Rams is if the team fails to agree to a long-term contract with new starting quarterback Bulger, a restricted free agent.
Bulger did not receive an offer sheet from another team by Friday's deadline, all but ensuring his return. St. Louis also signed veteran quarterback Chris Chandler as a backup, the first signal that the Rams were prepared to cut either Warner or Bulger.
"It's not written in stone," Bartelstein said. "It's possible things could change, but that's the path we're heading toward."
By waiting until after June 1 to cut him, the Rams lessen the hit on their salary cap.
