Icon05 Question question about the forum

click on one of our sponsors! OR REMOVE ADS
i notice that even after i have viewed a thread, the forum still counts it as unread, with that little light bulb on, indicating that i have not viewed it, or a new post has been made

this is somewhat frustrating to me, anyone else having this problem, or is it my cookies or something else not working right

thanks

I had that same problem before too but that didn't fix it.

I got around it by deleting all my cookies and all cached files. Then set my browser to
"compare the page in the cache to the page on the network: When the page is out of date." (I'm using Mozilla)

It's still not quite happy, but I can read a thread, click the back button and click "refresh" and it will get marked as read.

I've found that if I open threads in a new window, it doesn't get marked as read even after hitting refresh.
