theres 17 head bolts in an lt1, correct? why wont the fucking head come off? im about to hook it up to my truck with a tow rope and pull that bitch off.

might need to whack it with a rubbr mallet or a 2x4 and a hammer.

drivers side. itll wiggle but it wont come all the way off. no brackets unless theres something in the back i forgot about... besides that stoopid coolant line thingy.

Try lifting the head straight off after youve wacked it a few times.

good point. try prying it off with a peice pf plastic or a ruler, some thing that wont damage the metals surface.

it was just getting stuck on the dowel pins, i jiggled the shit out of it and it finally popped off. and look what i found:
