hmmm, Save a Life, Take it to the track! Street races from light to light are okay if u wanna just mess around and are driving somewhere alone and they stay under 65 on a 45 zone. But organized street racing??? 14-10 second street performance cars going 120 down a lane that is only safe for 45??? Just go to the track! I'd rather pay 20 bucks to race at the track than kill someone or myself. Punishment seems a bit harsh. Cops should bust car theives, not speeders. Donut sucking bribe taking fat bastards!

my lawyer told me that wreckless driving is now a worse offense than dwi's. judges are pushing mandatory jail times for street racers.

i guess they need more cash to write off their expense accounts.

Mandtory jail time is bullshit, i agree they should do something about these fucking crackers racing they're riced out dodge neons up and down the roads. I personally love to battle it out on some stop light races. I never take it over a 100 on the high way and never really over 70 on thecity roads.

Also, to Juan Camaney... STFU.... Don't lump all cops into a a certain stereotype. Some don't hassle racers unless they are driving like idiots. You are probably the type that "yes sirs" out the ass when a cop makes contact with you, but talks shit afterward.

As far as the penalties. It is a traffic offense and can only be a class c misdemeanor. If they could articulate reckless driving, you can be arrested and charges with a class b misdemeanor, but most judges won't take it.
