Favorite Instrument
Whats your favorite instrument?
Mine is the sax, tennor i think. I love the bluesy sound of a good soulful tennor sax. soprano is nice too, but Kenny G ruined it for me.

I'd have to go with the sax as well, only more on a jazz note than blues, as much as I do like the blues. Nothing like John Coltrane and his sax. There are really too many instruments for me to pick an absolute favorite though.

I despise all sax except soprano. I'm a tuba player, so I guess that' what I'll go with.

How could you "despise" the sax? I don't think there is an instrument tat I could say that I despise. I normally don't like the accordian, but some songs sound good with it, except in Tejano and Polka.

You're probably misinformed - whenever I tell someone I play the tuba, they instantly break out into their best "oom-pah" band type impressions. The stereotype is the worst part about playing because most people don't know that the tuba is just as graceful as a sax, or flute, or violin.

it's a toss up between the guitar and the piano... they are both absolutely beautiful to listen to!

i like to listen to the guitar. sometimes i think acustic (sp) is better. i guess more than likely i would know more what i am into at that moment. if something sounds good to me in any instrument i like it.

yeah babe do that - i downloaded a few songs and its sweet - and as for the tuba, i know what the tuba is capable of, ive played with some very fine musicians in my life so ive heard the arguments before, the point im making is this - under the sax family i have encompassed all ranges and all styles of music. i can play blues, jazz, swing, etc etc etc... i guess that why i like it. the tuba just seems a little stiff for me. just like most brass unstruments, except, of course, the trombone...
