Anyone out there got XM radio? I was thinking about getting it, but I'm curious to here what people think about it?

AM/FM radio is getting pretty boring and I am tired of buying a CD for a couple of songs.

Re: XM radio

i had it for a while while i was driving a truck.its nice not having to worry about changing stations when your traveling, especially if your in the middle of Wyoming, and the only station on the air is christian talk radio. They have an incredible amount of programing, and you cant go wrong with it.

Re: XM radio

whats am/fm?
my Accord came with XM. i never listen to commercial radio anymore. hardly listen to my cd's either. i have been known to take the long way home just so i can listen to XM a little longer. well worth the $8 a month.
its normally $10/month IIRC. i signed up for 5 years and got it for $8/month.

Re: XM radio

I have XM...at first I loved it. Then they went commercial free on all music channels...loved it more. After about 6 more months I realized they play the same crap all the time too, just different crap from the radio. Still worth the money though due to the number of channels and that I drive in between 2 markets on a weekly basis.

Re: XM radio

I had a chance to drive a car with it, but only in a preview setting. It would be excelent for anyone that does a lot of traveling, but if you seldom leave town, Probablynot, unless you like something that you can't get in your town, or find on cd. I still think it's a little expenxive though

i'm one of those that seldom leave town and i love XM radio. i can always find something to listen to with no commercials. a radio that actually plays music. what a concept! how can you not love that?

Re: XM radio

I just bought it for my Corvette. If you get it I suggest you use the Aux imput into your radio and not the RF modulator. You can't listen to other stations when the unit is on
