Beyond Shaq, how many guys have actually broken the glass?

I can remember Daryl Dawkins doing it twice for the Sixers in late 70's. Michael Wilson, former All-American at Marquette shattered one once. There was another guy who played for Pitt (can't remember his name right now).

But I'm curious. How many guys are there out there who've really shattered the glass?

I think professionally in a game he only has broken 1 backboard. The other time he knocked down the entire rim.

i remember in one of his early seasons shaq busted the hydraulic braces that hold up the entire backboard and rim- it might gave been during an all-star game. luckily they had another apparatus and wheeled it in.

with the breakaway rims these days, it's harder to shatter a backboard.

i still have a piece of shattered glass from one that was shattered in high school- but that was because this kid climbed up there and was hanging and boucing on it!
