Re: Need help on how to burn WMA's and MPEG's to CD-R or DVD+R

You're talking about 2 completely different kinds of files.
WMAs are audio file, while MPEGs are video files. So what are you trying to do?

If you want to burn WMAs to CDR to make an audio CD, well the WindowsMediaPlayer (WMP) should be able to do that. Or you can use Nero or Roxio Easy CD Creator.

If you want to burn MPEGs to CDR or DVDR to make a playable in a DVD player, then you're talking about making a VCD or a DVD which are 2 completely different things. However it many newer DVD players you can MPEG video files burned to a CDR/W burned as a data disc, it's called raw-mpeg...I would think they can do the same with DVDR/Ws as well

pretty much said it all up there, for dvd's you need a dvd burner and a good program. If you just want to put an mpeg (movie file) onto a disk for moving to another computer or just burn it in nero or so as a data file and you can watch it or open it up on computers and dvd's wont play it.

What - Exactly - Are - You - Trying - To - Do - ?

Are you making a data disc of the files?
Not that it should matter but what is the make and model of your DVD player?

Re: Need help on how to burn WMA's and MPEG's to CD-R or DVD+R

First you say WMAs and now you say WMVs. They are 2 completely different files. One is Audio only and the other is Video.

What is the make and model NUMBER of your DVD player? Simply saying "insignia portable dvd player" doesn't tell me jack other than the maker; they could make 50 DVD players and 10 of those are portable. I need to know exactly which one you have so I know what info I'm looking for.

@adrenaline78
It's possible that player can raw video files; video files burned to a data dvd that cna be read the same normal way a computer can.
