I hate the Spurs for Laker Fan purposes...and I hate Detriot....but I have to pick one, and it's Detriot.

well, here is my take.

Last year, Detroit would have beaten any team from the west.

The Spurs are the only team since the 86 Celtics to fail to repeat. Detroit won't join that list. So, Pistons. Honestly, I don't really care. I think I watched part of one game this playoff season, I don't have anything beyond basic TV service with my cable provider.

I would have to go with the Spurs for one reason.... Tim Duncan....and even though the pistons have a great defense i dont think they will be able to shut Duncan down. the series will most likely get taken to 7 games.

I would root for the Pistons because Chauncy is from Denver.
BUT... I say that SA will win it all. Tim Duncan os a great player, along with the Guards.
It will be low scoring but still fun to watch.

I am doing good. The real reason I hate the Lakers so much is becasue they have been so damn good for so long. I hated Kareem Abdul Jabar, but liked Magic. I also liked Rambis, he hustled his ass off.
I guess Shaq cannot blame Kobe for being selfish for him not getting to the finals.

Biggest Piston fan you'll meet, but my money would be on SA becasue of the heavy minutes our starters have had where the Spurs have had plenty of time off.

It will come down to whether or not Bowen can slow Rip vs. the Wallaces slowing Timmy. Advantage SA in my mind.

Spurs in 6. They've got the best player, the better defense and a more explosive offense. Bowen locks down Hamilton and forces Billups/Prince/Rasheed to win the series. They can't do it.

Let's look at it this way (even though things like this rarely matter).

The Spurs and Pistons are pretty much the same teams as last year. Players, coaches, and ways they play their game.

So, Lakers beat the Spurs, Detriot dominates Lakers (dammit).

Detroit will beat the Spurs in 6

I want the Pistons to win....mainly b/c they put out the Sixers and are representing the east and Larry Brown is their coach. I have a lot of respect for Larry Brown, great coach.
