Re: Gran turismo 4
Enter endurance race and win the Le Mans Jaguar, then the last race is a piece of cake. The F1 is the quickest around the tracks but I like the silly stuff like Z600 Honda tuned a little and of course any TVR.

Re: Gran turismo 4
Wrong. You need 25%. However, you don't get the XJ220 LM from an endurance race. Go to www.gamefaqs.com for much better answers than you're going to get here. Also, I'm about 35% complete, and as for using that Jag for that race, unless he's talking about a different car, maybe an actual race car, it ain't gonna happen. I was damn surprised when neither my CLK-GTR nor my XJ220 LM were even close to being able to keep up. I held the lead briefly with the Jag on Tokyo R246, but that's my best track and I was running flawlessly. Absolute perfection shouldn't be required to win something that early in the game. A better car is the answer.

Re: Gran turismo 4
Use the Sauber Mercedes. I'm not sure exactly which race you win it in, but it's fast as fuck and can beat most any other car (even the F1 on certain tracks).

Re: Gran turismo 4
99.8 % complete but finding it hard at Nurburgring to chase down slower mercs when they have 2 min head start.
Hints appreciated, welcomed.

Enter the Missions scroll right to the Merc and Good Luck.
I've managed to overtake 3 but the last 2 are out of my league for the mo. Main prob. is the track is so narrow losing too much time getting by

Ohhh... I tried that one too. That one's a complete and total pain in the ass, so I said screw it. I'm not a big 100% completion kinda guy anyway.
I guess I'd just say keep at it and eventually you'll get it.

I think the feel and feedback from GT 4 is stunning, changing from front wheel drive to rear wheel , more power added, tyre changes, suspension changes, etc. all produce a marked realistic effect. Being an old boy and having driven many of the lesser vehicles for real I have to say the creators of the game have captured the characteristcs of the vehicles brilliantly.
If this game sucks as a simulator can't wait to give a better simulator a go. Which one would you recommend ?

Actually, for car simulators, I played one a while back in an arcade that was a Ferrari simulator. Friggin thing was so realistic. I went through like 5 bucks and never managed to get around one lap without crashing.
Apparently, me = bad driver.

Sorry didn't reply sooner.. just rememberd about this thread.
Racing sim..
http://www.10tacle.com/gtr-game/
Nascar sim.. Nascar Racing 2003 by Papyrus.
The only reason i bash console games dubbed as sims is there is not much customizability to them. If they get something wrong there isn;t a chance to fix it, where as for pc games they release patches to correct the error made in the original release. So GT4 could be a good game.. Prolly great for a console game too!
