I always say...man if I knew what I know now back then (High school) the world would be a diffrent place... so here is a good thread for people to throw advice out there so other that are still back then can now benifite

1. Dont have any regrets in life... when I was 20...back in the day... I worked for a private ambulance company ...on day i was wheeling a 78 year old guy into a nursing home... he said to me " Do what you want I was 20 once.. someday your going to be in this chair and someone will be pushing you" he passed away a few months later

2. Girls are human too...they have feelings and want to be liked... they are as scared to talk to you as you are to them...they might hide it better but they want you to like them... a simple hello works 99% of the time....and that 1 % dont need em anyway-the head cases and on that note...say Hi or talk to everyone (within reason DONT GO PSCHYO)..... youll make new friends and get some practice for when you need it

3. Travel... there is a great world outside your front door... allot going on

4. Your Parents... they went through what you are going through... they want better for you... they might not be able to express it...or sound like the biggest boneheads but they drank, smoked or whatever... thier life experince can help....or aleast show you what NOT TO DO!!

5. College is a new start...no matter what highschool dished out... you get a clean slate especially if you go away to college

6. Keep the wife/girlfriend/significant other happy... when thier happy everybody is happy... and no matter where or who you are... someone else might make them happier... so work on it every day... it will be worth it

No matter how far you go or who else you can run from, you always have to face yourself in the mirror. Be true to yourself above all else.

Don't just pick one of the paths in front of you. Pick your goal and make your own path.

If the police officer is asking you questions... he/she has a p...retty good idea what happened and is just filling in the blanks... on that note the smaller the crime the more you will benifite getting in front of the truth...like drinking beers in public...cops rolls up and everyone but you throws the beer...everyone but you might get the tickets...

I try to live by a few words. One phrase I love to repeat in my head is "get busy doing." It's sort of an amalgam from the Shawshank line. Quit your job if you want to, get the fuck out there and do something.

If I ever wasted any time in a cubicle, I would just end it myself. I find it really sad and depressing that some people think they are tethered to their jobs, and go in every day, hate it, and eventually die. I also realize that not everyone has their dream job, 75 degrees in winter, and a few nice toys (think motorcycles, not vibrators....). Although I DO keep telling everyone to move to Florida...

Lame as it sounds, I just want someone to share it with - even though I am a staunch opponent of marriage - everything up to that would be nice. Too bad all the good girls are in Canada...

It's all good DOONZ. Might I add a few I've learned long the way. For some reason I can’t post anything over a certain length so I will have to split it up. Sorry for the inconvenience.
1. Find something you love to do and make a career out of it. To hell with the money, the misery ain't worth.
2. Marry someone you love AND loves you in return. That good sex and attractiveness won't mean shit if you can't get along and get through the tough times that are sure to come.
3. If at all possible, keep it real and straight with your parents. You can't imagine the heartache and regret you will have later on if you don't.
4. Find a hobby to occupy your mind. In this world you have got to have an escape.
5. Never piss away an opportunity to learn-something. Learn about people, things, trends, philosophies. Keep your mind active or one day you may not remember what you had for breakfast.

6. If you have children, you better damn well make sure you teach them right from wrong and give them everything that they need to succeed. One day your life will be in their hands.
7. Give back to your community. It WILL make you feel good.
8. Don't waste time looking back. There ain't shit you can do about it. But you can do something about today and tomorrow.
9. Don't judge yourself by others' achievements or standards. Who the hell are they anyway? You want to be miserable, just go ahead and do that.
10. If for one minute think you have a problem with booze or drugs, fix it. True misery is down that path.
11. Never, ever kick anyone when they are down. Rest assured you will be there once or twice when it is over.
12. Learn how to be happy. Yes, it can be learned. Don't let some asshole, circumstance, or situation take what is rightfully yours-but it is up to you.
Live your life without regret. It will eat you up.

When faced with a choice, do it. You rarely regret the things you do, it's usually the things you didn't do.

Meaning:
Should I go to college: go to college
Should I take that new job: take the job
Should I talk to that person: talk to that person
Should I move to XYZ state: move
Should I accept the promotion at work: take the promotion
etc and so forth ...
