Sold out concerts!?!
Ok, I had to come here and vent. I looked on the ticketmaster website for concerts this summer that I want to go to and every single one was sold out with the exception of Bruce Springsteen (and I will definately be going  ). Then I looked on ebay and the prices are fucking ridiculous. Case in point: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...6528240234&rd=1 Is stuff like this starting to irritate the piss out of anybody else?
Also, read this if you would like: Scalpers go high tech
Seriously, this is fuckin ridiculous. grrr...

Re: Sold out concerts!?!
Why would you want to go to a NIN concert anyway? (just picking on your music taste. all in good fun. dont hurt me )
I don't go to concerts very often, but the ones I have gone to have been reasonably priced. Never paid more than 60bucks. They werent front row tickets either, but most of them werent terrible.

Re: Sold out concerts!?!
That's great. $30 tickets going for $247.50 a pair. You can't scalp tickets, but you can auction them for a ridiculous price.
Audioslave is about to play a show near me which sold out in like 9 minutes(venue too small for them). I just heard on the radio today about people selling tickets for this show on ebay for like $290 a pair. Fuck That!!!!!!

Re: Sold out concerts!?!
That NIN show was going to be impossible to go see anyhow. My friend got tix to the show.. You had to be on the ball to go see that one.
And Scalpers do suck.. but if you want to go that bad you will pay the price.. Same thing when the Illionis basketball team came to wisconsin.. Some of the college students were getting 1000 bucks for 1 ticket.. Talk about a mark up.

I think there's a difference between paying the price and getting nailed in the ass to go see a show. I can't imagine any concert I would pay like 300bucks for a set of tickets for (short of John Bonham reincarnating and Led Zeppelin going on tour again... ) Rat bastard scalpers. Next one I see when I go to a show (if I can ever afford one again) is soo getting clocked.

Re: Sold out concerts!?!
i read about this recently. its ridiculous that nothing can really be done about it. bruce springsteen is trying to fight it in that the person that buys the ticket has to show ID to get the ticket at will call. i figure that's gotta keep prices somewhat reasonable.
this thread actually caught my eye cause im going to the Elton John concert this saturday night! im sooo excited. i can't wait.

Re: Sold out concerts!?!
Elton John does kick ass. I always liked 'Crocodile Rock' best though... its just so ridiculously catchy and upbeat. Just can't beat a catchy rock song I guess. :happycow:

Re: Sold out concerts!?!
ive been pretty successful at getting tickets myself over the internet but for NIN in Austin i was on 3 computers at work w/T1 connections and couldn't get through..tickets are like 200 a piece everywhere..sometimes if you find a scalper an hour before the show they can be desperate to sell them for face value or cheaper..ive seen this a few times..just take a chance..theres always people outside of concerts who sell them for face value because their friend couldn't make it..etc..
