Domain name registration
- Hijacker, please don’t flame me like the good doctor – :happycow:
What do you guys think the best place is to register a domain name? I used to have thepipbomb registered, but when the two year “contract” (maybe it was one year, whatever) expired my domain name went with it. I never got a notice or anything. I assume you can buy a name and then have them alert you when it’s time to renew. I’m not really interested in POP3 email accounts, but some email redirection (or what ever it’s called) for 5-10 names would be nice.
On a related note: Does anyone know of a good web hosting company that supports Cold Fusion and Access for the database? I’d like to have a database backend. I know Cold Fusion, but I don’t have a need for an SQL database or anything more powerful than Access.
If I could get an "all-in-one" type deal that would be great.

Re: Domain name registration
I've used godaddy for years now, and couldn't be happier.l
For $8.95 a year, you can get a domain name, and it will offer free email forwarding. Not a bad deal.
Godaddy is pretty shitty for hosting, though. I've used like 20 different hosts, and none have ever blown me away. Maybe eddie is happy with his host and would like a refferal?
