Warning, if you're squeamish about people getting shot, don't bother watching this

kinda have to wonder... couldn't the owner just kinda... call the cops after shooting him once?

Good example of self defense for gun owners, if nothing else though

Let me be the first to say that although the robber deserved it... taking the gun away after he was down would have been the smarter thing to do.

Re: Store owner shoots robber...

He did take the gun from him, but he needed to be sure that the boy was stopped. The thing he messed up on was moving the body. Other than that, good...except he needs to learn to shoot a pistol better.

Re: Store owner shoots robber...

he took the gun away after shooting a downed man twice...

he shoulda taken the gun and called the cops after the first time he shot him

EDIT: Actually, I amend my previous statement. If you watch closely, the robber is still trying to shoot back when the cashier shoots him again, you can see the robber's right arm moving around with the gun as the cashier comes around... he probably still could have gotten the gun from him, but that makes it a little more ambiguous

I'd say the guy got what he deserved. :happycow: If things like that happened more often, I bet there would be less robberies.

Regardless, even trained professionals, when amped with adrenalin after briefly making an aquaintance with death, tend to unload on the would-be shooter.

Re: Store owner shoots robber...

After watchin the video.... the clerk is not new to guns. Look at how he shoots. He's got the gangsta aim. Also, unloading the gun in the heat of adrenalin, and taking a break, walking around the counter, and shooting a man in the back is something completely different. Thirdly.... wtf is he dragging the body for? The man thinks he's in trouble. If you look, he looks like he's got the "oh shit!" body language. You don't move a body after shooting the would-be robber! He shot the man in self-defense. Bravo. Now leave the body, call 9-1-1, and stop trying to hide the body, like you're probably used to.

because we should all give in to criminal low lifes...you freaking Europeans are just crazy. The more of those robbers are killed, the less likely there will be robberies later.

I couldn't give a Monkeys about the perp, but what is the point in putting yourself and others at risk over a few lousy, prob insured dollars?
The assistant could no more handle a gun than my lil sis and was just as likely to get himself killed, it was like watching little boys throwing stones at each other in the playground.

This is very true. He did risk his life over, probably, a couple hundred dollars at most.

The robber got what he deserved though.

Re: Store owner shoots robber...

Why is the nimnode robbing a haberdashery?! And why is the clerk in such a place armed? I didn't realize clothing stores were such hotbeds of crime and violence. I thought it was minimarts and liquor stores.

Re: Store owner shoots robber...

Looks like it went perfect, except for moving the body.

Few points I'd make...

1. Looks like a small store, probably the register dude owns it and is protecting his property. This is perfectly legal and should be practiced more. I've walked into liquor stores here and shot guns behind the counter are in plain site.

2. After the first shooting, the robber tries to move around and has a gun near him. Making sure he is dead is the only way for the owner to secure himself. Shooting a person just to injure them is more illegal than killing him execution style while he is moving and armed. It's not all to visible, BUT, he didn't shoot him in the head...all body shots.

3. My guess for him moving the body is he didn't want people going into his store and seeing a dead body on the floor and freaking out. Not too many people will shop in the store if they know the owner is capable of killing or if they know someone was killed in there.

4. As prepared as most of us think we are to take someone's life, I'd bet all of us gun toters would still get the "oh shit" look or an equivalent thereof, if we expired someone.

5. Letting him go? Letting the police take care of him? Have you any friggin clue how many armed robbers (even WITH video tape evidence like that) get away? If he had gotten away, next time the dude needed cash, he'd be more likely to target the same place because he already got away with it once.

6. BAM! Another one bites the dust.
