So who do you guys think is gonna run for the big job in 08? Who would you like to see run? I'd be in heaven if I saw my ex hometown Mayor Rudy Guliani run. What about you guys. I'm fairly new so I'm sorry if this is a repost.

I dont know who will but I am pushing for Russ Feingold. Gotta root for the local boy that actually has enough balls to stand up for what he truly believes... :rock:

No Governator by '08. His amendment won't get passed. Hillary (do we need another) Clinton will almost certainly make a bid. If we're lucky, Barak Obama will, cause he kicks a lot of ass. Thing is, if Clinton runs, Reps will almost certainly have to put up a viable woman/minority candidate because otherwise women in general, will be MUCH more like to turn out to vote for a female candidate over a male one, same (possibly even more so) with a minority candidate. It's possible 2008 will break a lot of stereotypes.

It's also possible somebody like Dean will run against, say Bob Dole or Jeb even, to continue the white male tradition of mediocrity

I liked Bill and all, but I think 8 years with a Clinton was long enough. Besides, Hillary is nowhere near experienced enough. Even the good ol antichrist himself, 'Dubya,' had more political experience.

On a side note... I also wanna see Oprah run. I think that would kick ass. Seriously, who does not like Oprah? :happycow:

I doubt we'll ever see Arnie run. I support him out here in Cali, but I don't think the rest of the nation would vote for him. I doubt the amendment will ever pass either. I don't know why everyone loves Obama so much all of a sudden. A year ago no one knew who he was, then the dems started billing him as their "rising star" and everyone thinks he's a god. by 08 he'll have less than one term of Senate experience. Hillary might run, I would be in so much agony if she won. I'm surprised no one has mentioned John McCain yet.

Seriously though, I think McCain would be the only Republican I would vote for.

Have you seen Obama in action? The guy has balls AND values... and he's a democrat! Of course people are going to like him. He doesn't sit around and take the bs. The mistake Democrats make these days is they're so into equality, they're afraid of intimidating people, and offending people. Obama Has passion, and is basically fearless.

If Teh Other Clinton runs for Prez with a male for Vice, she'll be assasinated by the female haters so we can have a male prez. If she runs as Vice, then all the pro female people will assasinate the prez so we can have a female prez.

Same thing with minorities. So it'd probably be some WASP version of teh Bush. Maybe jeb if we can start a war with some other contry for funzies.

I dunno, I kinda think Hillary would make a pretty good President. This is harsh to say, but its true.. and I'm only being honest. As long as we don't have a black president, we should be fine.

I truely feel that ALL PRESIDENTS should come from a military background. No prior military, not qualified. You should have ATLEAST 4 years in the military regardless.
