Any of the first 7 FF games are pure classics. The latter ones sucked compared to the ones that started it. The best of em all was FFVI or 3 here. Best on every level for its time. Another game I have always liked was Lufia 2. Great RPG game... kinda lame dialogue, but awesome Ancient cave with 99 random levels.

Diablo 2 was one of those games that sucked my life away, and looking back I cant remember how the hell I stayed with it for so long. I did however accomplish my goal of attaining every unique item in the game .... and a shitload of great charms. After the dupes and hacked items came, it killed it for me. :(

Glad to see Chrono Trigger getting some love. Still my all-time favorite.

I also agree with the Ninja Turtle arcade games being a great time with friends.

Other favorite games are Ninja Gaiden (original), Castlevania (original), Shadow over Mystara (2nd D&D arcade game), Street Fighter Alpha 3, Samurai Shodown series, Bushido Blade (for the PS1), FF IV (2 here), FFVII, FFVIII, Halo, and the Soul Edge/Calibur series.
