ok so here we go:

I really like this girl at school and see her everyday but can’t get the nerve to ask her out. The semester is about to end in like 4-5 weeks and I really want to as her out before she leaves for the summer.

Any constructive advice is appreciated

Slip her a note with your name and number as you walk past her desk. That way she is not put on the spot and will have time to mull it over and reread it as she heads home. Throw in a romantic/funny description of a date you'd like to have with her. Show some personality and character. If you can't work up the nerve to ask her, this is the best I've got to offer.


But Kulots has a good point. How much interaction have you had with her?

Hmm, well, best thing I could think of is be candid about it. Whatever happened to the good ole "Do you wanna see a movie this weekend?" line? Or do you guys do that all the time, and you want it to be clear that this time, it's not just chillin', it's a REAL date?

Okay...I don't know how strong your friendship is or what kinds of things you guys discuss, but here is what happened once with myself and a male friend.

We agreed to have an "off the record" conversation. The rules were that we would be totally honest, that anything that was said would not affect the friendship unless it was mutually agreed upon, and at the end of the conversation, we could both agree it never happened if that is what we chose. We were really close, though. He was one of my best friends. We talked, discussed all the pros and cons, including the possibility of the friendship being ruined and mutually decided against it. Everything went back to normal...except for the occasional shared smile and knowing look. It was all good.

just at some point when you guys are hanging out, start touching her more than usual... sit next to her and if she starts to feel what you are trying to get across she will either go with it or get up and move away from you...

Hmm... I've got an idea.

Write a letter, and in the letter say that if you choose friends only do this, if you wanna try dating do this instead, give it to her, and wait for signals telling you which one she chooses. Thing is, these choices don't have to be super obvious, and she doesn't have to go through all the talking about "it's not you, it's me" kinda crap, she just has to, say, wear a red shirt the next day if she likes you, a blue one if she doesn't, and no one but the two of you will know.
