Odd Router Name
Our internet was out for about 4 hours yesterday, apparently it was a problem with adelphia in the whole city. When it came back up I saw a new wireless router in our building. I live in a fairly large apt complext full of college kids, mostly older graduate students. Anyhow the new router name is 'FBI Restricted' I found this semi-odd. All of the other usual routers I see seem to still be there. You would think if the FBI was doing survelliance they would at least use a name so they didnt announce their precense. Or am I just being paranoid? I was thinking of using my pc to sorta find where the signal is coming strongest from. Thanks for any ideas. |

The names you see don't many thing.
I can name my router so it shows up as "I am the RIAA" or "I fucked your mom" if I wanted to but I'm not that stupid or lame.
Don't worry about it, as long as your wireless network is secure and locked down you should have to worry about much of anything.
