tell me why i shouldnt just buy 10 piii 1gz and run round robin dns instead of dropping 2k-4k for a 2 nice dual xeon boxs

dual xeon? It don't make no sense when you can run dual (or even quad) pIII's for so much less...I just saw on pricewatch dual pIII system boards running <100 bucks each, and processors at around the same price. Add that to a couple gig of SDRAM & a 250gig hard drive & what more do ya really need for a good web/file server???
I never go for cutting-edge, ever. Things just get obsolete too fast in this biz to justify the cost!

You paying anything for rack space? If you are co-hosting the boxes 10 1U would take up more space than 2 boxes depending on what Xeon servers you are looking at. Otherwise, is the forum very CPU intensive?
